Our young Israelite Soldier Jeremiah has introduced the "Purim Reading Challenge" to the children of the Atlanta Branch. Children our tasked with reading 35 books by Purim to be awarded with gifts during our Purim celebration.
Jeremiah provided each child with a book log to track their reading. Each Saturday when the brethren meet the children present a brief summary of a book of their choice that has been read. Each child will also present a full book report on a book of their choice during the Purim Celebration.
An ACT news release (Aug. 17, 2005) stated, "Reading skills are critical to a student's success in college courses across the board … students who don't have adequate reading comprehension skills are likely yo struggle."
The Atlanta Branch challenges all branches to join us in encouraging our children to read and succeed. Implement the Purim Reading Challenge today!
